Caught by day boats from the South West Approaches and hand-picked from the market by our coastal team in Brixham, our Squid is as fresh as it gets! Each whole squid is then expertly cleaned and gutted by our own block men (filleters) and delivered straight to your door, all within 24 hours from when it was caught. The squid will arrive whole, ready to stuff or slice into calamari rings.
Although available all year round, this locally caught Squid is more abundant during the colder months. It's a wonderfully versatile product that is easy to cook (no harder than cooking prawns) - enjoy grilled, sautéed or dipped in batter and deep-fried as crispy calamari.
- 350g pack, will serve 2 (number of squid per pack (1-6) varies depending on size)
- Fresh wild caught, tender meat
- Suitable to store in the freezer
- If enjoying fresh, please consume within 3 days from delivery
As a fresh caught product, due to many different factors such as bad weather conditions and seasonality, product may occasionally be substituted with a similar alternative - we will always notify you of this. The daily fish market closes very early, so when ordering for 'next day' delivery, if fresh fish is unavailable, we will use (previously) frozen fish.

At The Wright Brothers Ltd, we are dedicated to providing the highest quality seafood while prioritising sustainability and environmental responsibility. We closely monitor the guidelines to ensure that our sourcing practices are as sustainable and eco-friendly as possible.
Whenever available, we prioritise sourcing our fish from day boats, supporting local fishermen who use low-impact fishing methods. This approach not only guarantees the freshest catch but also minimises our environmental footprint.
We also recognise seasonal and regional catch opportunities and often for lesser-known species, that although not always viable for the larger boats, represent an important part of local fishing community sustainability for the smaller vessels.
We are committed to continuously reviewing and improving our sourcing practices to protect our oceans and ensure a sustainable future for seafood. Thank you for supporting our mission to make responsible choices.
