WRIGHT BROTHERS SEA CHANGE FOUNDATION
A mission to protect our oceans and all the wonderful people connected with them.
“After a thrilling journey spanning 23 years of Wright Brothers, sharing our passion for great seafood and good times, we decided that now was the time for Wright Brothers as a collective seafood community to give back to the oceans, the source of all that we do.
Wright Brothers Sea Change Foundation focus is In The Sea, On the Sea and By The Sea: contributing to the sustainability of our oceans and the planet, supporting our fishing industries, fishermen and women, past and present.
Join us on our mission to take care of our oceans and all the wonderful people connected with them and to provide for future generations.”

Our Commitment to a Better Future
We're working directly with those who manage the challenges our seas face, to help identify solutions that could assist in protecting the marine environment and it's eco-systems for years to come. This includes support for other maritime charities.
THE FISHERMEN'S MISSION
The Fishermen’s Mission is the only UK charity dedicated to supporting active and retired fishermen and their families. Working at the heart of fishing communities, it provides vital practical, financial, and emotional support to those facing hardship, injury, or loss. From emergency response at sea to welfare services on shore, The Fishermen's Mission is a lifeline for those who risk their lives to bring seafood to our tables.
THE NATIONAL LOBSTER HATCHERY
The National Lobster Hatchery is a marine conservation, research, and education charity based in Padstow, Cornwall, dedicated to protecting the European lobster - one of the UK’s most valuable fisheries. As a globally recognised centre of expertise, the Hatchery works to support coastal communities and safeguard marine resources through innovative breeding, research, and public education. By raising and releasing juvenile lobsters, they help boost survival rates and promote the long-term sustainability of this vital species for future generations.
BLUE MARINE FOUNDATION
The ocean sustains life on Earth - absorbing carbon, regulating climate, and supporting billions. Blue Marine protects this vital resource through effective marine protected areas, helping safeguard over 4.5 million square kilometres of ocean worldwide.
Wright Brothers are proud to partner with Blue Marine Foundation on the Shell-to-Shore scheme, collecting waste oyster shells from London restaurants and supplies them to restoration projects, to be used on the seabed as ‘cultch’, an essential element in restoring native oysters.
MARINE CONSERVATION SOCIETY
For over 40 years, The Marine Conservation Society has worked to restore marine habitats, drive policy change, and inspire collective action for cleaner, healthier seas. Through science-based solutions and community engagement, the charity unites people, businesses, and governments to safeguard the ocean for future generations.
RESPONSIBLE FISHING VESSEL STANDARD
The Responsible Fishing Vessel Standard is a globally recognised certification recognising high standards of crew safety, welfare, and responsible operations on fishing vessels. Developed by the Global Seafood Alliance, it builds on the UK’s Responsible Fishing Scheme and aims to set a global benchmark for ethical and sustainable fishing practices through independent, third-party auditing.
Vessels certified to the RFVS demonstrate that they operate ethically, ensuring that crews work in safe conditions, are treated fairly, and that fishing is conducted with respect for both people and the marine environment.
