This supreme succulent free-range chicken tastes exactly how chickens should. They’re reared with total freedom to roam with a natural diet and are slowly grown with a much longer life than commercially reared chickens. Therefore, resulting in an incredibly plump, tender whole chicken with maximum rich flavours. We like to think chicken is a family staple with each person preferring their own piece, from the sweet gamey leg meat to the delicately textured breast. This whole free-range chicken is best served roasted with spring greens and white wine.
The Salcombe Meat Company first started in 2014 with just six Devon Closewool sheep in a Salcombe orchard. Eight years on and they are now proud owners of a thriving farm, award-winning butchery and shop, continuing their dedication to hand-rear their own traditional breed, slow-grown, grass-fed animals.
