The five day seafood spectacular is back from 12-16th June. The riverside at Battersea Power Station will once again be alive with food stalls, activities and demos on the weekend, starting on the evening of Friday 14th, with exclusive ticketed events taking place across Circus West Village on the 12th & 13th. As the resident seafood restaurant, we have lots on offer from guest takeovers to masterclasses, and of course plenty of delicious seafood too:
ROY BRETT, ONDINE – KITCHEN TAKEOVER
We’ll be kick-starting the festivities on Wednesday 12th with a takeover from Roy Brett, chef patron of critically acclaimed seafood restaurant Ondine. Roy cut his teeth at some top restaurants including Le Caprice and Rick Stein’s Seafood Restaurant in Cornwall before going on to open Ondine in his home-town of Edinburgh in 2009. Ondine has since earned Roy a string of awards including Chef of the Year and AA Restaurant of the Year and was the first independent restaurant in Scotland to have MSC certification for sustainable sourcing. He will be cooking up an exclusive 5 course menu in our kitchen for just £45pp (or £75 with wine pairing). Tables are available from 6-9pm for up to 6 guests. OYSTER MASTERCLASS ON THE THAMES
Following last year’s sell-out event, we are once again partnering with the MBNA Thames Clippers to host an exclusive oyster masterclass experience. Join us on Thursday 13th for a guided tasting with oyster experts and founders of Wright Brothers, Ben Wright and Robin Hancock as you sail along the Thames. Continue the experience on land with a 2-course dinner at our riverside restaurant, or stay on board for the return journey to London Bridge (with a licensed bar 😉). All guests will receive two glasses of Ridgeview English sparkling and a selection of six oysters on the clipper —tickets are £45-70pp, available here.
WRIGHT BROTHERS CRAB SHACK
Now for the weekend showstopper! From Friday 14th to Sunday 16th we’ll be hosting a ticketed crab feasting experience. Expect riverside communal seating and bibs (it’s going to get messy) as you tuck in to our indulgent crab platter for two. Our team will be on hand to show you the ropes and have you picking like a pro as you tackle the three different and delicious varieties of our favourite crustacean served with brioche, fries and plenty of dips, washed down with a couple of Five Grain lagers. SUSTAINABLE FISH & CHIPS
We’ll also be popping-up at the festival all weekend with our sustainable fish and chips food stall, think delicious Brixham gurnard and chips and succulent cod cheek bites, perfect for the little ones. If that wasn’t enough we will also be shucking oysters from our bespoke oyster cart.
Many of the industry’s talented chefs will be taking to the demo stage throughout the weekend to share their skills, including our Group Head Chef and seafood aficionado Richard Kirkwood; tapas legend and TV regular José Pizarro; eclectic chef, restauranteur and MBE Anna Hansen; sushi queen and masterclass guru Yuki Gomi and many more! Plus why not practice all the cooking techniques you’ve learned by taking home some of the freshest fish in town?
